FAQ - Family, Kids, Baby & Bump

Family & Kids shoots

Where do we take these pictures?

Children and family shoots will generally take place in our chosen locations within Epping Forest but, as you can see from our images, we do travel when requested so we are open to any ideas our clients have in mind. We feel that, rather than asking a child to sit still and smile in a studio, we get the best results from allowing them to run around, play and explore the environment they are in whilst we capture these moments.

What happens on the day?

We're very relaxed with these shoots as children take a while to 'warm up' and get comfortable in their surroundings, as parents ourselves we totally get this. We understand it will take some children longer than others to ease into having their photos taken, so we use our experience and knowledge to gauge the right time to start asking for a little pose or smile here and there. In our eight years of doing this I can honestly say we always get there in the end, no matter how challenging it can sometimes be – that's all part of the fun! These shoots will take around an hour.

When do we get to see our images?

Approximately 2 to 3 weeks after the shoot your images will be put in a password protected online gallery for you and your friends/family to view, with the option to buy prints/products via the site. We will also provide you with a price list for print packages and discs of images. With images on a disc we provide you with a full copyright license for them, so you can print to your hearts content.

Baby / Newborn Shoots

Where do we take these pictures?

Our newborn and bump shoots will mainly be done at our home in South Woodford. Carly will generally do these at weekends, or I can on weekdays; whatever works best for our new parents.

What happens on the day?

When you arrive for your newborn shoot it's all very relaxed in the Everett household. New parents can sit back on our sofa enjoying a hot drink and biscuits while watching Carly work with their new bundle of joy to produce beautiful images that they will treasure forever. Newborn shoots can take between 1-2 hours, depending on how the baby is behaving on the day and on how many feeds they need - there's never any rush on our part. We generally only book one shoot a day so we are never running on too tight a schedule and can take our time with the family.

What should we bring?

Changes of clothes, food, favourite toys........and the million and one other things you have to travel with when you have a baby.

Bump Shoots

Where do we take these pictures?

Our bump shoots will mainly be done at our home in South Woodford or, in warmer weather, there is an option to do these shoots outside in a secluded part of Epping forest. Carly will generally do these at weekends, or I can on weekdays; whatever works best for our Mummy to be.

At what stage should I have these shots?

These particular shoots take around an hour and are usually taken at around 36 weeks pregnant.

What happens on the day?

Whenever there's a bump shoot going on in our house I hear lots of laughter and chatting coming from the room. Carly loves nothing more than talking pregnancy, births and babies! Carly loves her 'girlie' time so she adores these shoots, she will chat to the Mummy to be before she starts to see what sort of images she wants out of the experience, whether this is fully clothed, in underwear or the classic 'Demi Moore' shot (or all 3!). It's so important to Carly that the client feels at ease and comfortable with her taking intimate images.
